Geirr Tveitt

Hundrad hardingtonar for orkester, op. 151. Suite nr. 3, 31-45 (LOST)

Tveitt asked Odd Grüner-Hegge in March 1956 if he would like to perform Suite 3 in the coming season. Grüner-Hegge was willing and asked for a good title. To the conductor Olav Kielland Tveitt noted that the third suite was the only one he had in his home, probably since it is never performed. To Eiliv Olsen Tveitt declared that the Suite was to be performed in the winter 1969/70. In a NRK-program Tveitt said that this particular suite contained tunes about farming and old customs. ("gardsbruk og gamle skikkar").
