This miniature for piano, dated 8 January 1888, can be found as a glass-plate negative and photocopy at the National Library of Norway, Oslo, archived as Mus.ms.a 3391. It is difficult to determine whether the piece was intended as a short independent work or whether it may for instance be part of a salutation, such as a musical excerpt familiar to both Svendsen and the recipient.
